Claremont Medical Centre has a long history serving the community of Claremont. It was established by Dr Stuart Mitchell in the late 1960s. At that time the land behind the Medical Centre was a timber yard, and the Claremont Shopping Village had not been built. Originally located at the back of the Pharmacy in Boxhill Road, it expanded throughout the 1970s and 1980s to its current location at 12 Boxhill Road.
Dr Bruce Halliday joined the practice in 1978 as a second principal doctor and served until 2012. Dr Andrew Hutchinson joined the practice in 2004 on the retirement on Dr Mitchell, and has been a General Practitioner at the Medical Centre since that time.
Claremont Medical Centre is a small medical practice, with long-serving staff and Doctors who are able to provide high quality healthcare in a caring, friendly, personal, patient-centred service.
